I apologize if this in the wrong section. With that said... While randomly looking through Wikipedia a few days ago, I noticed that St. Louis has its own wrestling hall of fame. Yes, it's simply a few plaques in a wrestling merch store, but still. This got me to thinking: why can't we have a Pittsburgh Hall of Fame? Now I'm not saying that it should be a physical building or anything. A website that recognizes the best the area has to offer would be perfect. It should be left open to anyone who left an "impact" on the Western Pennsylvania wrestling scene, no matter the promotion or the time period. Hell, it could even have a section detailing some of Pittsburgh's greatest matches (The Original Sheik vs. Bruno in a cage, Mankind/Undertaker Hell in a Cell, that NWA title match featuring Steve Corino, Shinya Hashimoto, and Gary Steele, etc). So I ask: would anyone else like to see something like this happen?

Not a bad idea. I'm actually working on a book chronicling the history of pro-wrestling in Pittsburgh called Rings Of Steel. It should be completed and published by the end of this year (hopefully). I've spoken to ECW Press and they say they "might" be interested.

Yes, actually here's an early mock-up of the cover. Let me know what you think, and remember it's not final.

At one time, before the economy collapsed, I was actually talking with Court Time about having one of the floors of the new building be converted into a combination wrestling trainng center and Pittsburgh Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame.
I thought it would be nice to pay tribute to years past, but at least at this point, the economy makes it unattainable. Which is sad.
I think the front cover of the book would be complete with Jumpin Johnny Defazio, Shotgun Sheriff, and The Pittsburgh Kid Jimmy Jackson.
Ariata, in a few years once we get on the other side of this current economic situation, this is something I would gladly revisit. I'm sure with you and your wife's talent, as well as the ideas of the great fans on here, we can put a nice tribute together.
Lord Zoltan and Count Grog would be the historians for the older history, while Dana Nisbet and The Lydig family would be the more recent history, at least on the indy's.
