paul london was one of the top guys in roh when roh wasn't even that well known, he had 1 of the longest tag team reigns on sd at the lowest point of wwes tag division, the only memorable matches/feuds he had was his 4waytagtlc match and his feud with kidman, i know hes a good worker but i still say he had little impact in wwe, at the most hes equivalent to charlie hass or the mexicools in pupularity

I still remember when I was in NYC for ManiaXX and London and Stevie come out to sign autographs. Talked to London for a little while and he was a cool guy. THe highligh came when someone asked why him and Stevie weren't on the card. London replied because this isnt Velocity and Heat presents Summerslam.

Okay, here's the big question. Who is your pick to win Super Indy VIII?

I'm goin with Hentai or Fab. Fab's been on a decent roll, and Hentai is never a bad choice for anything.

Colt or Davey would be great. Are the losers going to wrestle on Sat? A Gory vs Richards match would be good but I can't see Ryan losing in the first round.

Id be happy if Elijah, Davey, or Joey Ryan won, i think Gory will and should win the tournament tho, he steals the show at iwc every time and in my opinion hes better than Shima, The worst would be 2 cold or McChesny winning, i like 2 cold and mcchesny i just dont care to see them win the super indy title. I personally think its a step back for McChesny to be in super indy, it seemed like he was getting built up to main event level a few months ago. i wish mcchesny would just be a heel again and face shima for the title.

The "ROH wasn't well known" comment was laughable, but I am over it.
I'd like to see a Gory-2 Cold or Sami-2 Cold final... with either Gory or Sami taking it.

I know the "who do you think is going to win?" question was to try to change the subject but after reading through the rest of the thread, I'll mention a few things, which some people might not agree with but it's just my opinion.
Paul London being unbooked is a major disappointment and from all the "London-epic" posts from this thread, it's obvious that other fans were really looking forward to London appearing at Super Indy. However, I really doubt London not being there would be a deciding factor for someone to attend the show or not because of how stacked the show is with a lot of great talent. As for London's "suitable replacement," I've never heard of him so I can't judge weather or not he is a suitable replacement but there's really no reason not to give him a chance to impress the IWC fans. I think it also needs to be mentioned that at least it was announced in advanced that London wasn't going to be there because it would be even more disappointing to be told he wouldn't be there at the door, which has been the case with several stars in the past. (AJ, Bam Bam, Balls Mahoney, Low Ki) Most of those situations were beyond IWC's control and they deserve credit for doing the right thing in this case and unbooking London so that the fans wouldn't be disappointed at the door if he no showed.
As for the person that mentioned the show supposedly being lackluster, I really don't understand how anyone could not see how stacked and how much potential Super Indy has of being an absolutely great show. I really don't see how with such great talent on the card, anyone could be disappointed with the talent scheduled for the tournament. I'll also say this, Super Indy has yet to disappoint and I'd say that the fans in attendance will get their money's worth at Super Indy.
I also wanted to say that I hope Larry Sweeney is going to be ok and that he can return to the ring soon because he's one of the most entertaining and coolest wrestlers I've met at a show. Aside from that, with so many great wrestlers at Super Indy, there's really no reason to be negative about the show. N0rm and everyone involved with Super Indy deserve a lot of credit for booking a great card for the fans. I think another thing worth mentioning is with such a great card scheduled, everyone that goes to the show should enjoy it and have fun because Super Indy looks like it's going to be a great show.
