I managed to pass out over 75 flyers for the 8/13 show when I was at Raw. Some of the people I passed out flyers to seemed to be interested and are considering going. Others either gave me dirty looks, flipped me off, or told me to go f*** myself. One idiot in particular said IWC sucks, and yet he has never even seen nor heard of it until I told him. Hopefully, the people I spoke to tonight will attend the show in August.

Yeah, there's one joke by my favorite standup comedian Mitch Hedberg where he says "When people hand me a flyer, it's like saying 'Here, YOU throw this away!'" I tried flyering for an NWA East show last year, and it wasn't even in a wrestling environment, it was tough. I got the dirty looks and the awkward gazes when they realized it was for a wrestling show. Stupid people. But I'm glad somebody used the flyer I made. Thanks for supporting IWC. 75 flyers is friggin' awesome if I do say so myself. Keep on keepin' on, and support indy wrestling! ~JTM~

Well at least it wasn't an IWC wrestler handing out flyers. 75 is indeed impressive, but I'm not shocked at the bad reactions you got. People just don't like being handed things, and in town there is a LOT of that.
Adding 75 more people to the current average CCAC attendance would almost necessitate opening the other half of the gym.

I wasn’t at all surprised by some of the negative reactions I got last night. I’m used to hearing negative crap about me so it didn’t even bug me in the slightest. But I am suprised that I handed out a lot of flyers. I thought that I would probably get no more than 5 (10 if I was lucky) passed out, but 75? All I got to say is "not bad for a girl." (well, for me at least.)

Sometimes word of mouth is the best thing. Personally I heard a ton of talk about IWC both at the Flair signing and Raw. Some had heard of it, watched it on tv, but never attended a show. I informed more than a few people about the upcoming show and a little bit about IWC.
I think the timing of having the lineup of the 8/13 show right after WWE being in town is perfect. You have probably the five biggest indy names who haven't had Fed exposure coming in to draw, and its been my experience of exposing new fans to the IWC product that once they attend one show, they want to come back for more.
