February 11th: ROH is happy to announce that “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush has signed and will compete on 3/20 in Elizabeth, PA and on 3/21 as part of ROH’s "7 Year Anniversary Show". ROH is also in negotiations with other high profile talent for that weekend. Stay tuned.
I am really hoping with it being 7th Anniversary show weekend that we can get some big names for the Pittsburgh show.

As long as we don't get a ppv taping i'm the happiest person alive. Highly doubtful since its a unproven market but you got a point. You got all the top guys squeezed into shorter matches to fit the 2 hour time slot.

I can't wait a certain "Iron city hardcore" member will be on this show. Also with Kenta dropping the belt he is free to show up for the weekend too. Hell either way it's going to be a hell of a weekend. Quack vs Kenta could be a decent little match

Probably highly doubtful on KENTA. Pearce has screwed the booking up so bad and it's looking like there will be less international talent appearing on shows. Never say never....but Pearce is sinking the ship already.

Never say never....but Pearce is sinking the ship already. The Japanese guys were all coming in through Gabe's contacts from Japan. That has nothing to do with Pearce's booking. Give it time. He took over the ship only 3 months ago in the midst of many already ongoing storylines. I think his booking/writing style of slowing down and building things up throughout the show is great in theory, but will turn a lot of fans off of the product. Hopefully, it will gain others.

Also, Quack is not the answer to ROH's problems.
Edit: and what is wrong with a PPV taping? The PPVs have been their best shows of the past 2 years.

I'd be surprised to see any japanese guys at this show. NOAH is mostly off that month, so they are possible, but Dragon Gate and ROH don't work together anymore, so those guys won't be coming. This show still has 2nd row seats available, and is sandwiched inbetween other big shows(Hammerstein, Wrestlemania Weekend shows, and Philadelphia a few weeks before), so I wouldn't expect anything too big.

Well for one you can thank Pearce for bringing ROH to Pittsburgh because Gabe hated N~Con and ran shows against him and never came to Pittsburgh. Pearce's booking is perfectly fine and I don't see what has changed. It's also because of Pearce that ROH is getting tv because Gabe didn't want that either. As far as Japan guys go it's possible. We'll just have to wait and see.

What you wrote doesn't even make sense...and Gabe and I have been friends for 11 years. And Pearce has zero to do with where ROH runs shows. The owner and office manager take care of that. They asked me months ago if I minded, and I didn't, and this event was booked some time ago.
Whether or not it succeeds is another story. Pittsburgh is a very tough market to run.
You should not make so many comments about things you know so little about.

Actually, ROH ran at the CCAC south building twice in 2003, which is where IWC used to have show. Neither show was really promoted that well and it was during ROH's early years so they didn't draw well for the shows. As for anyone in ROH "hating" N~Con, if you would watch those events you will see N~Con actually appear on camera to check on Christopher Daniels after a styles clash through a table so it would seem like no one from ROH "hates" N~Con. That being said, I really doubt that the March 20th show will draw enough of a crowd for ROH to come back, which is very disappointing considering that there actually is a wrestling market in Pittsburgh. ROH didn't help the situation though because it's five weeks before the show and all that's announced is Mike Quakenbush will be there so that's probably why there's still second row tickets on the website. This is just my opinion but it would seem that ROH might try to draw fans from Ohio to the show but with no matches even announced yet, you can't really expect those fans to buy tickets and dirve three hours to the show.

To my knowledge Gabe had nothing to do with ROH in '03, that was Feinstein. Plus when it comes to Gabe and N~Con i've heard nothing but hatred. As for no one in ROH hating N~Con, i'm sure you could find a few (see: Mike Quackenbush). N~Con, I think i've said this before, everybody on this board except the wrestlers have no knowledge of the wrestling business so we all make comments about things we don't know.

Gabe was the booker for ROH in 2003, just as he was all the way up until he left.
When you hear from the horses mouth that there is a friendship, you usually can trust the horse.
And I don't hate Quack and Quack doesn't hate me. We chose not to work with each other for our own pesonal reasons, which are no one's business.
Actually StylesClash, the majority of the fans that post on this board, with the exception of a few glaring exceptions, talk to me online, and have no problem asking me questions about people and how I feel. And I always give them a straight answer, good or bad. Guys, please verify this....
Others simply go by heresay from the internet, and trust me, especially when it comes from people not involved with the companies, DEFINITELY believe what you read or hear online. Information from the ignorant is usually 100% accurate.
In 15 years, I have been able to keep a good relationship with just about everyone in the wrestling business. There are a few I can't stand, and those people are usually ones who have tried to affect IWC or SCW before that. Other than that, I have always had the attitude of doing my own thing and not worrying about what others are doing. And keeping good relationships. As you get older, you will find thats its the best attitude to have, because if you work harder than anyone else, and make mistakes but learn to correct them, you will be successful. I'm 36 now, and have been on my own since I was 20. Through very hard work, I have a job position that I am very proud of, rank in the top 1% of salaries for my field, have a wrestling promotion that ranks in many's top 10 in the United States, have a great wife and family, and am generally respectful and thankful for the opportunities that have been afforded me. I have an incredible crew of wrestlers that I am so proud to call my friends (except Eric Xtasy), and we have a great time putting on shows every month. And in general, those that speak negatively of myself or my company do so because they wish they have accomplished what we have. Those that can do, those that can't badmouth those that can.
In other words, as much as you think you know this business, you have an awful lot to learn.

Since N~Con asked for someone to verify it, I can say that I've talked to N~Con online on more than occassion about wrestling etc. so when he says he's answered particular questions about a situation I can verify he does. I can only speak for the conversations that I've had with N~Con so other people that have talked to him may have a different story but I can say that N~Con has talked about wrestling and just general things that have nothing to do with wrestling. I hope this will add something to show Stylesclash that what he "heard" is incorrect.

In other words, as much as you think you know this business, you have an awful lot to learn. Just to clearify, I never said this and i'm sure if you go back on some older posts you can quote me by saying that I don't know hardly anything about the wrestling business. Also, I find it funny that all of the people at IWC that told me about N~Con and Gabe aren't backing me up on this. drwrestling, since when did you like and/or stick up for N~Con, you can be quoted for saying the following: when N~Con announces that a wrestler couldn't make it you say "big surprise their" or "we knew somebody wasn't going to show up for this show" right in front of all of the fans you say this. One more thing, N~Con, i've asked you several questions over an online chat, you either didn't answer it or you gave a reason not to answer it, like one time I asked you if Call To Arms 5 would be Friday and Saturday night (2 nights) and you said "you ask too many questions".
