N~Con, when will we see El Generico in an IWC ring? Kevin Steen wouldn't be a bad guy to bring in either

I don't know much about El Generico, but it would be great to see him live. However, I know N~Con doesn't like guys getting dropped on their heads, and from what I've seen on Youtube, that's just about every single one of El Generico's moves.

can you blame the little guy? hes not that big so he cant lift someone up and throw them. as far as the guys getting dropped on their head, its moves like that that make the crowd go OOOOOOH.

and make opponents careers shorter...
but after all, if you ask some, all that matters is the Ohhhhhh of the crowd..not the longevity of the boys..

i never said dropping someone on their head is right, i just said is fun for the crowd. also, its big bumps like that that make people realize wrestling is mostly not fake.

I am not criticizing what you said at all, simply responding to the fact that people are dropped on their head way too much..

i agree 100%, guys do get dropped on their head way too much in other promotions that i wont mention. cough cough roh cough cough pwg. but maybee like a one time deal with steenerico at a big event like no excuses or a call to arms. who wouldn't want to see jimmy demarco get the brainbuster at least once as long as he doesn't wear that bucket again. ;D just for laughs, www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGIz9zSEKKc&feature=related

And Shadow,
That is pretty much why I have struggled with the direction wrestling has headed in the last few years...

dropping someone on their head is nothing compared to the things i've seen other wrestlers do. take this for example, www.youtube.com/watch?v=cT9i8RPdo9E&feature=relatedalso, i am not defending dropping someone on their head, but if you ask some wrestlers with a popular name, they made their name taking big bumps. one more thing, i am BY NO MEANS saying that iwc is not a good promotion for wrestling.

I don't think I've ever posted, but this is important. and make opponents careers shorter... but after all, if you ask some, all that matters is the Ohhhhhh of the crowd..not the longevity of the boys.. N~Con It doesn't only make careers shorter, but also hurts the entire business. Sure ECW was great, but the style that spawned from it has led to us seeing everything you can do, besides killing a person, in wrestling. Yeah it may be cool to see it all once ... but why would you come back after you had? If you've already seen every crazy spot ... why come back? That's why ratings, and ticket sales, and everything else is down in wrestling. In ROH, and PWG, and most indy feds it's almost required that you drop your opponent on their head in your finish, because we just saw a brainbuster, a powerbomb to the turnbuckle, and a top rope foot stomp during the match. In IWC since the wrestlers aren't being asked to drop each other on their heads during the match they can use safer finishers, and it takes nothing away from the product because the finisher is still the strongest move in the match. I like watching IWC shows because I don't have to cringe during the show. I was a huge ECW fan so I've seen people get dropped on their heads, but I cringe a handfull of times during every ROH show I've seen. I want to be entertained by wrestling ... not worry about the guys neck being broke.

ecw would've been the best wrestling promotion ever if it weren't for mr. i cant write a good check, but thats a different story. its not like we've never seen somebody dropped on their head before in iwc. just at the last show, troy lords almost broke his neck after bane suplexed him. super hentai almost broke troy lord's spine at november pain 06. and i have a giant list of other instances in the iwc where wrestlers almost caused other wrestlers to be severely hurt.

ECW was at one time the best, but because of what the guys did to their bodies, would never have lasted. Its a promotion that has been romanticized by many (myself included) over the years.
I never said its never happened in IWC, but I guarantee I am not pleased about it when I see it. So many of the guys think its necessary to get over, but after a while you realize its not as important. LIke anything else..placed here and there its fine...when its done every single match...it makes no sense and puts guys at risk.
Stylesclash you are very strong in your opinions so believe me, nothing I say will change anything....
But 15 years of behind the scenes experience does give you a bit more of a different picture.
