I figured we might as well start a thread for the Pens, since it basically overtook the Steelers thread. oops.. Sad day today for the Penguins...just adding on to the crap that's been dumped on them lately....Thanks for the memories, Mario.

It is like a roller coaster ride for hockey in Pittsburgh. 1st, we don't know if we are going to get a new arena. 2nd, we find out that it looks like we are getting a new arena. We get Sydney Crosby, but we still suck. Now, we are getting a new owner? Now, Mario is leaving the game, but that is a good thing. It is now time to go. Nothing is stable in Pittsburgh with hockey.
BTW tomorrow, the Washington Capitals vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins will be my 1st-ever hockey game that I attend.

Definitely a good game to go to...two players who are the future of the game.

I think the 8-1 victory just proves what was already said on here. They have the talent, they just can't put it together. Or you could say lack of motivation. Mario retires, so the team says let's go win one for him. They all play hard, at least for one night, and they win. Now if Mario could just announce his retirement everyday, the president's trophy would be headed to da 'burgh.
