This area of the forum has been pretty dead so I'm going to try to get a good topic going.
What person (famous or not) do you look up to? And Why?
I look up to Dave Navarro, cause he fought some very dangerous habits and is now trying to help others stay clear of the same things he used to do. He's very open about his past and will pretty much talk about anything. On his website 6767.com he answers questions from his fans all of the time. (I've had 3 questions answered so far). He also donates money to people in need a lot. And to top it all of he is married to Carmen Electra!

I'm very glad N~Con is bringing in Jim Cornette with the Midnights, because Cornette is one of my personal heros. He got his start in the business taking pictures and selling them at shows, and eventually the promoter needed a ring announcer, and later a manager. And since he was so well known with the crowd from selling his pictures, they used him.

I'd have to say Jerry Only from The Misfits. He is the nicest guy I've ever met. He had nothing when he was younger and when they made all their early records they did it with as little money as posible. Now after almost 30 years they are still playing shows on a weekly basis. One of the leaders in Punk is still doing more for punk then all the new punk bands combined. Plus since there is no more Blag Flag and Ramones he has coved many of their songs to keeps the bands alive. When I hung out with him he told me so many stories from his life, and we had some really cool discussions about bands, touring, life. It changed my life, and I owe him a lot. If I hade to pick a close second I'd say all the Edgers from Utah. If you don't know what I'm talking about search it online.

Probably Keiji Mutoh. He always was one of my favorites and somehow i talked my mother into driving me 6 hours to philly to see him. I got to shake his hand and take a picture with him, it was so cool. He's done it all. He wrestles and lives everyday on two of the worst knees ever, which is pretty amazing to me.

i hope my cartoon can someday reach hearts of peopel just like his. A good first step would be that people can actually read what you wrote in the comic strip.

Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett. Two true rags to riches stories that are so humbling and admirable. They triumphed over the prejudices of the early 1900s to bring the music industry to its zenith... In my den I have a tribute wall with many Italian-American greats (both acclaimed and denigrated in America) such as John Joseph Gott, Frank Sinatra, Robert DeNiro, Dino Crocetti (Dean Martin), and several others.
