Apparently, Flair & WWE have peacefully split, allowing Ric to be booked on indy shows and other money-making opportunities.
Now I know his asking price must be amazingly high...how bout we all save up money to help out N~Con and try to call em up for Call to Arms 5? lol

I'm sure his asking price is high but probably not that high because he would just make an appearance and not wrestle. But still it would be amazing how many people he would draw if he was booked.

I actually wouldnt want to see him at IWC. N~Con probably would have to raise the ticket price for $50 that show. Show most likely would be packed and would not be the same atmosphere. The show would be more about seeing Ric Flair than the actual wrestling and once Ric Flair made his appearance and left, then a nice portion of the crowd would leave too.

Plus he is more of a Night of Legends guy than a Call To Arms guy.

Now that would be one hell of a Night Of Legends!

I would much rather see Roddy Piper than Ric Flair.

I completely agree with the Night of Legends booking idea. From what I know, NOL is known over the entire indy scene as a coming together for the old guys... and who bettah than Flair for the 5th anniversary of that show?
Hope N~Con's thinking of it ^_^

I believe if Ric Flair came to an IWC show, it will simply be the Ric Flair show. At the moment, he's too big for IWC. Maybe in a few years. Bret Hart came in 2002. Big deal, but not stealing the spotlight.

I know I am no promoter or booker like you guys, but exposing a whole new group of fans to our product would be incredibly beneficial to the future of IWC.
So yes, a Ric Flair appearance, much like any major name in wrestling, would be a great thing. The key is to give them a show that keeps them coming back.
And a Ric Flair-Larry Sweeney strut off..

Not sure if this is true-but WOW!! From wrestlinginc.com : www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2008/87/ric_flair_336271.shtml* Ric Flair is being flooded with appearance offers. His asking price is in the $15,000 range, up from the $10,000-$12,000 WWE was asking for Flair appearances. * Flair was initially open to doing special refereeing appearances, but he and his management have now changed their minds, as they want to respect the send off WWE gave him. * The bidding war for the first ever Ric Flair Shoot Interview is still going on, with the latest offer being $50,000. * Reid Flair never actually signed a WWE Developmental Deal but is working out of a local gym in the area. Reid may go and train with George South, who is currently training Richie Steamboat.

Reid is already training under George South. However, in the new Observer, Dave said something that made me think he may not become a wrestler. Steamboat's son has also already wrestled a couple of matches, and I have a picture of him if someone is interested.

Why is almost every legends son becoming a wrestler?
