My iTunes recently played includes a lot of U2 (as a result of the show last Saturday), The Dresden Dolls, Tom Waits, and Chuck Berry.

JTM Are you allowed to say bad things about Mark Madden? And why does it seem like everybody hates him? If you only saw him on WCW, it's understandable, but his radio sports show is highly entertaining.

I really can't understand either why wrestling fans hate Madden. He was the color guy in WCW during the horrendous Russo years and managed to...well....he didn't exactly 'polish' the turd that it was, but he at least made you somewhat interested in the turd. Especially during the 'everything you see is a work except WHAT YOUR'E WATCHING RIGHT NOW, which is a shoot' era where Schiavone broke kayfabe every 5 minutes, Madden stuck to his job and tried to actually sell the product that was on TV.
Pittsburghers hate Madden because he doesn't drop to his knees and service all Pittsburgh athletes on a daily basis.
Personally, the only thing I find objectionable about him is that he's a guy on the fringe of the industry who still carries himself as a star. Hearing him explain to N~Con how none of the IWC locals have the look was one of my personal highlights of the last Monroeville show. Further back, he would show up at IWC shows and sit in the crowd, and call attention to himself in ways Sleazy Mullet Guy could only hope to.

Never liked him on his show, never liked him on WCW.

Madden appears to be a "friend" of IWC. I guess we aren't talking about Stalin's Russia or even Vincent K Mcmahon's WWE, so you are allowed to say whatever you want.
Madden's past radio segments with Disco Inferno were very entertaining. Also, I find the discussion about strippers to be inciteful and educational. I don't know anything about him personally, but if the shadow says that he acts like he is more of an insider than he really is, then I believe it.

but if the shadow says that he acts like he is more of an insider than he really is, then I believe it. I didn't say that. I said that he's a guy who's been on the fringe of the industry and no longer is relevant, but still acts as if he is. As far as being an insider, I don't think anyone's going to dispute that.

Hey, I was in agreement with you. What's really the difference between what you said and my paraphrasing? Madden has been on the inside undeniably, but I don't believe his connections are what they once were. However, that doesn't stop him from acting like nothing has changed.
Anyway, shadow, what are you listening to right now?

Re: Madden - I won't say anything about what I know of him personally, but let's not forget the fact that he did give us the phrase "Spinaroonie", and he should be thanked for that.
